The "Hustler Nation" narrative has developed a common lexicon that dominates talk shows and local journals across the country. They seem to have captured both the young and the old, the rich and the poor, in this web of entrapment.

Many times, the DP-led side has explained the hustler narrative as an economic model that targets the least affluent and underprivileged in society.

This concept proposes what is known as a bottom-up economy, in which those at the bottom of the economic pyramid are given priority, followed by those in the middle and those who are well-off, in that order.

The 'Hustler Nation' narrative has become a common vocabulary dominating talk cycles and local diaries across the nation. Young and the old alike, the rich and the poor both seem to have been caught up by this net.

While explaining the meaning of the hustler narrative, the DP-led faction on several occasions has made it clear that it is an economic model targeting the less privileged and the poor in society.

The approach proposed by this model is that which has been termed as a bottom economy where those in the lower cadre of the economic pyramid are given the priority then followed by the middle and the well off, in that order.

As proposed by UDA, the party associated with William Ruto, the 2022 presidential hopeful has worked tirelessly, traversing the entire country in what has been termed as early campaigns aimed at popularizing this approach.

However, not everyone resonates with it. To others, this narrative is a mere public show and a hollow idea devoid of ay substance.

Raila Odinga who for a long time has publicly stood opposed to DP's economic approach has not failed to add his voice.

The ODM leader today was quoted bashing and trolling The Hustler Narrative claiming that it is paradoxical to promise water then begins to offer wine instead.

While maintaining his bid of running for president in 2022, UDA, the party linked with him, has been working relentlessly to popularize this approach.

However, it's not for everyone. This story is viewed by others as a hollow spectacle devoid of any significance.

Even Raila , who has been vocally opposing DP's economic policies for some time, has weighed in.

Since the DP's economic ideas were announced, Odinga has been actively criticizing them. The ODM leader was quoted criticizing the 'Hustler Nation' narrative, noting that it is nonsensical to offer one thing and then shift to something else in place of that promise.

'People who were promised digital jobs, who were promised knowledge-based economy, who were promised double-digit economic growth, are now being offered wheelbarrows being told Kazi ni Kazi'

According to him, this is nothing more than a fraudster's gimmick.

'This is fraud. That is a route I promise Kenyans I can't take'
